Job Title: Sr. Payroll Tax Analyst

Pay Range: $77,193 – $114,247

What you’ll be working on:

This role supports Savers by analyzing and developing standards for preparing and delivering payroll reports to internal/external departments.  Reconcile each completed payroll and is responsible for monthly bank reconciliation. Maintain Payroll Systems and implement processes and initiatives that ultimately increase the effectiveness and integrity of data reporting and documentation.

 

What you have:

  •  Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly & quarterly reports to various internal and external departments.
  • Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform data integrity audit between payroll systems.
  • Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes.
  • Consult on areas of uncertainty to promote optimal use of data.
  • Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports.
  • Support various departments in reaching their goals through analysis.
  • Create spreadsheets and relevant reports.
  • Help develop analytical tools and programs.
  • Liaison with external departments to be aware of changing industry requirements.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliation for US and Canada.
  • Perform operation analytics.
  • Reconcile completed payroll tax after each payroll to ultimately balance the US 940 & 941 Annual/Quarterly Reports.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience and general working knowledge of administrative processes for Payroll, HR and Benefits.
  • Working knowledge of UKG or other HRMS/payroll system.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated skills for following business protocols and courtesy in listening, reacting and responding to all levels of Team Member requests or concerns.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, organized, and accurate.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
  • Ability to work within Savers culture.
     

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Payroll Department with a retail organization.     
  • 3 years multi-state/multi provincial payroll experience preferred.
  • Experience with Time & Attendance System, preferably UKG/Kronos 8.
  • Combination of the above that provides the foundational skills for the essential job functions.

FLSA: Exempt

 

Travel: 5% or less
