Position Overview

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our growing Privileged Access Management team. Reporting into the Product organization, you will act as an individual contributor playing a pivotal role in defining and prioritizing product features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The Product Owner works closely with R&D, Product Management, Technical Support, Documentation and Customers.


Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, to gather and define detailed product requirements.  Ensure a clear understanding of user needs and expectations. 
  • Work closely with the development team to clearly define features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.  Provide clear guidance on product functionality and design. 
  • Contribute to release planning by prioritizing features, coordinating dependencies, and ensuring timely delivery of product increments. 
  • Collaborate with engineering, design marketing, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive and successful product development process.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings with a security-focused mindset and ensuring that development stays on schedule.
  • Work with QA teams to define test cases and acceptance criteria.  Ensure that delivered products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Advocate for a positive user experience by working closely with UX/UI designers to align product features with user expectations and design principles. 
  • Support the successful launch of product releases by coordinating marketing efforts, creating documentation, and providing training to relevant teams.
  • The Product Owner ensures that releases meet business objectives and customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the evolution of product development methodologies.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, providing updates on product development progress, challenges, and successes. 
  • Contribute to the development of incident response plans and collaborate with incident response teams to enhance product security features.
  • Work closely with compliance teams to ensure that products meet relevant cybersecurity standards and certifications. 
  • Drive efforts to achieve and maintain certifications, such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2. 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Product Owner or similar role in the computer network and security software industry.
  • Prior experience with DevOps tools and practices
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with security standards, regulations, and compliance requirements. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
