Job description

Job Role: Bookkeeper

Salary Budget: 1500 - 1800 AUD

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This role requires proficiency in financial software, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reports.
  • Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Monitor and track expenses, ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Assist with tax filings and audits as required.
  • Generate financial reports and provide insights to management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Myob, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in payroll processing and tax compliance is a plus.
