Business Intelligence Analyst

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to leverage data from multiple sources, including Epic, PowerBI, and Salesforce, to generate actionable insights and improve decision-making across the organization. This individual will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and validating semi-structured data, transforming it into meaningful information, and presenting findings through visualizations or detailed reports. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Data Collection & Integration: 

• Pull and consolidate semi-structured data from Epic, PowerBI, Salesforce, and other relevant sources. 

• Input data into interactive dashboards or provide information to various internal and external stakeholders. 

• Data Analysis & Insight Generation: 

• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights. 

• Develop actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency, patient outcomes, and financial performance. 

• Data Quality & Validation: 

• Perform self-validation audits to ensure the highest data quality and consistency. 

• Double-check data for accuracy before submission or visualization. 

• Visualization & Reporting: 

• Create various visual representations of data, including raw Excel data, graphical tables, and conditional formatting. 

• Develop and maintain intuitive dashboards and reports for operational and leadership teams. 

• Communication of Insights: 

• Translate complex data into understandable insights and communicate findings to leadership and relevant teams. 

• Proactively identify areas for improvement and present data-driven solutions. 

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field. 

• 2+ years of experience in a data analytics or business intelligence role. 

• Strong proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, conditional formatting, etc.) and experience with PowerBI, Epic, and Salesforce data extraction. 

• Ability to translate data into actionable insights with minimal supervision. 

• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset. 

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely. 

• Highly self-motivated, curious, and action-oriented. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with querying languages (SQL) or other visualization tools (Tableau) is a plus. 

• Understanding of healthcare data and workflows is desirable.
