We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant who will work with other Greenlight Accounting and Finance team members and Greenlight employees on various challenging assignments. The successful Senior Revenue Accountant will be passionate about helping in a variety of different areas of need as we continue to grow the accounting operations.
This role will report to Greenlight’s Revenue Accounting Manager.
Your day-to-day:Prepare journal entries, analyze automated revenue postings, review contracts and sales orders with commercial customers, monitor day-to-day billing activities, perform financial analysis and support the month-end close process for all Greenlight revenue channelsPrepare and maintain reconciliations for accounts associated with all Greenlight revenue streams and other accounts in support of the Accounting teamAssist in the preparation and analysis of Greenlight’s different revenue streams with a focus on understanding the underlying activity to understand period over period changes Identifying opportunities within revenue operations to drive efficiencies and automate key processesAssist in the review of contracts and identification of key terms and conditions that could impact revenue recognition under ASC 606An ability to translate the requirements of ASC 606 and properly deploy these requirements into Greenlight’s new and existing revenue channelsWork cross functionally with different stakeholders in the business (i.e., Engineering, Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, Business Development, among others) to coordinate appropriate billing, data reporting, coordination of proper revenue recognition and deployment of new revenue streamsDevelop detailed project plans for departmental projects that outline key decision-points, data requirements, and stakeholders in order to support the deployment of new revenue streamsProvide additional month-end close and other project related support to the Accounting team for other financial accounting tasks, including programs and arrangements unique to GreenlightWhat you’ll bring to the team:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields required, and master’s degree preferred3-5 years of previous relevant experience in industry or public accountingProficiency with NetSuite ERP (other similar ERP systems), commonly used revenue recognition platforms, CRM systems that are integrated with those platforms, common reconciliation and close management tools, among othersAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas and use of BI tools such as power query preferred), with the ability to manipulate and digest large amounts of data requiredStrong understanding of the requirements outlined in ASC 606 Experience in corporate month-end closing cycleExcellent time and self-management skills with the ability to properly prioritize critical projectsStrong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with other members of the team, members of other departments, drive progress toward meeting goalsAdaptability and flexibility to assist with a variety of projects in a fast-paced growth-oriented environmentTeam first mentality and willingness to put the priorities of the team ahead of your own as that is the key to our success as a department Work perks at Greenlight:Medical, dental, vision, and HSA match Paid life insurance, AD&D, and disability benefits Traditional 401k with company matchUnlimited PTO Paid company holidays and pop-up bonus holidays Professional development stipendsMental health resources 1:1 financial plannersFertility healthcare100% paid parental and caregiving leave, plus cleaning service and meals during your leaveFlexible WFH, both remote and in-office opportunitiesFully stocked kitchen, catered lunches, and occasional in-office happy hoursEmployee resource groupsOur stance on salaries:
Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive.
The estimated base pay range for this position in (NY, CA, WA): $80,000-100,000
The estimated base pay range for this position in (CO): $80,000-90,000
