Job description

Summary

The Cards team is responsible for all activities related to payment cards lifecycle, from its issuing, embossing, status management and PCI validation. We work with debit, credit and prepaid cards, physical and virtual. Our duties include maintaining the current structure operational on a high load and low latency context, improving the platform's resiliency and efficacy for an increasing number of clients and products, while adding new features for the dynamic payments cards ecosystem. We participate in security certifications for the markets that we operate in, including of our own code and architecture, external providers that we use for cloud infrastructure and cryptography such as HSMs.

What you'll do
  • Hire and develop technical personnel by conducting periodic 1:1 sessions and providing regular feedback, always focused on high performance
  • Ensure that the team is always engaged and challenged to go beyond what is expected
  • Understands the team's products at a deep-level, and support the team members to also have a reasonable knowledge of the products the squad owns
  • Delegate work and assignment to team members
  • Collaborating with their team to identify and fix technical problems
  • Analyzing user's needs and then finding applications to serve them
  • Foster a healthy culture within the team in line with the company culture
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify areas of improvement
  • Guide the team through technical issues and challenges
  • Guarantee their teamwork follows high-standards development processes, including PR reviews, code quality, test coverage, robustness, resilience, performance, security and responsiveness
  • Manage the oncall team ensuring the quality of incident handling and offering a great experience for the client 
  • Have an assertive decision-making in adverse environments (short time, pressure from customers, various restrictions);
  • Whenever necessary, direct contact with the international team and clients;
  • Monitoring team services and new features on production environment, always seeking to achieve our SLO's / SLA's;
Minimum Qualifications

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Technical Skills:

  • +2 years of experience managing high performance teams
  • Knowledge about agile methodology
  • Java or Golang
  • Relational DBs
  • Observability tools like: Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog or similar
  • Cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure)
  • Distributed systems and event driven architecture
  • Understand SRE/DevOps concepts
  • Previous experience with large-scale/high-throughput services
