Job description

At Fullscript, we’re not just changing healthcare—we’re making it whole.

We help 100,000+ healthcare practitioners support 10 million patients with a platform that delivers evidence-based health solutions, diagnostic support, and practitioner tools—all in one place.

Healthcare today is disconnected. We’re fixing that. Fullscript makes it easier for practitioners to treat the whole person, not just symptoms, so patients get the support they need—when they need it.

We’re building a better way—one where healthcare is connected, complete, and built for impact.

The Accounting Operations & Transformation Lead will play a critical role in evolving the way accounting operates at Fullscript. Responsible for managing and optimizing our accounting systems, enhancing financial processes, and ensuring operational efficiency, this role is foundational to building a scalable, future-ready finance function.

As the first dedicated team member focused on accounting transformation, you'll have the opportunity to build systems and processes from the ground up. Designing, calculating, and reporting on accounting operational metrics and department-wide KPIs. This role will own the establishment and maintenance of strong financial controls to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and uphold data integrity.

As a vital bridge between finance, operations, and technology, you’ll increase efficiencies, fuel data-driven decision-making, and identify ways to streamline complex workflows. This role uniquely blends strategy, project management, and hands-on execution.

Looking ahead, as Fullscript continues to scale, this role may grow to include team leadership and broader finance-wide responsibilities. If you're a systems thinker who is energized by operational excellence and creating clarity in complexity, this is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What You'll Do:
  • Accounting Systems Management & Optimization:
  • Collaborate with the Business Systems team to administer, maintain, and enhance accounting and ERP systems to support financial operations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes through system improvements and automation.
  • Support system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements in collaboration with IT and finance teams.
  • Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with US GAAP, and internal controls.
  • Document system configurations, workflows, and changes for audit and operational purposes.

  • Operational Process Improvement & Automation:
  • Collaborate with key finance leaders to design operational accounting processes, while owning and maintaining up-to-date documentation.
  • Analyze and improve financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial close workflows.
  • Identify and implement automation tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Work with stakeholders to optimize procurement-to-pay and order-to-cash processes.
  • Ensure alignment between operational workflows and financial system capabilities.

  • Financial Controls & Compliance:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership to identify and mitigate operational risks related to accounting systems and processes.
  • Assist in designing approval workflows, segregation of duties, and system access controls to prevent errors and fraud.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and insights into control mechanisms.

  • Performance Metrics & KPI Reporting:
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the accounting function, including process efficiency, accuracy, and compliance metrics.
  • Develop and implement individual team member performance metrics to assess productivity and effectiveness.
  • Design reporting dashboards and scorecards for real-time visibility into accounting operations.
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to leadership to support process improvements and performance management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set performance targets and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Support:
  • Serve as the key liaison between accounting, finance, IT, and operations teams to align systems with business needs.
  • Provide training and support to accounting and operational teams on system functionalities and best practices.
  • Assist with external and internal audits by providing system-related documentation and process insights.

  • What You Bring To The Table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • CPA, CMA, or ERP certification (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success with 7+ years of hands-on experience in accounting systems, financial operations, or process improvement roles within financial setting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and operational workflows.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau).
  • Experience with process automation tools (Alteryx, UiPath, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Systems thinker, strong collaborator, and clear communicator.
