Production Illustrator & Animator (2.5D)

Description

We’re looking for a Production Illustrator & Animator with a unique visual sense and the technical chops to bring 2.5D characters and scenes to life. You’ll design and animate in a soft, expressive style similar to Tolan, Eran Hilleli, and modern EdTech UI mascots—clean, simple, slightly quirky, and full of personality.

Your work will be used in our in-app characters, preview experiences, and marketing materials. This is not a Spline/Unity project—we’re focused on live, interactive animation via Rive (formerly known as Flare by 2Dimensions).

What makes you a great fit

• Strong illustration and character design skills
• Confident in 2.5D animation (not just flat motion graphics)
• Experience or strong interest in Rive (https://rive.app)
• Able to deliver live, interactive animation assets that can respond to user inputs
• Familiarity with soft, charming animation styles like: Tolan, Eran Hilleli
• Soft, modern education/parenting apps
• Ability to work closely with product and engineering to ship real-time animations
• Comfortable with rapid iteration and feedback
• Portfolio required: must include both illustration and animation examples

Nice to have:

• Background in character rigging using Rive
• Interest in family/education products
• Basic understanding of child UX/UI principles

Bonus: background in storytelling, comic-style beats, or light narrative design
