Job description

Assurant is seeking a skilled Guidewire Claims Center Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team and lead the technical aspects of our Claims Center implementation and maintenance of the platform.

The Manager, Software Engineering is accountable for managing and coordinating resources and processes to deliver software releases of products, while participating in defining the strategy for the product development team by driving initiatives that deliver on the vision.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical team in the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire Claims Center solutions.

  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful implementation and integration of Guidewire Claims Center.

  • Customization and Configuration: Manage the customization and configuration of Guidewire Claims Center to meet business requirements.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users, claims adjusters, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and performance of the Guidewire Claims Center through rigorous testing and validation processes.

  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Guidewire Claims Center issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

What are the requirements needed for this position? 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in Guidewire Claims center Implementation, Configuration, Integration, Custom Development and Testing Frameworks

  • 5+ years of Java programming  

  • 2+ years of Guidewire cloud or v10 experience

  • 3+ years of proven management experience in leading software development teams and managing projects

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

What are the requirements needed for this position? 

  • Guidewire ACE Certification in Claims Center

  • Familiarity with property and casualty insurance industry standards and practices

  • Experience in Agile or SAFe Agile methodologies and processes

Pay Range:

$101,500.00 - $169,400.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
