Job description

Stambaugh Ness (SN) is a multi-discipline, professional services firm serving clients nationally with a strategic focus on architecture and engineering, professional services, construction and real estate, and manufacturing industries. 

The M&A Analyst is on our Mergers & Acquisition team joining the Director and two other team members. We are looking to grow the team by adding an analyst. We provide financial due diligence services to both buyers and sellers. In this role you will have clients across the nation majority in the Architecture and Engineering industry.

This is a remote position that can work from anywhere within the United States. 

What you’ll do at SN:
  • Requesting, analyzing and recasting client firms’ historical financials and forecasts to be used in deriving M&A value estimates
  • Setting up client data rooms and coordinating with client regarding access and functionality. Maintain data rooms throughout the engagement.
  • Perform buyside searches of potential seller firms on based upon search criteria obtained from client. Will utilize our subscription database as well perform queries in databases available online
  • Assist with report-writing of marketability assessment and valuation estimates to be delivered to client.
  • Support our project efforts around solicitation of target firms, administration of NDAs, and coordination of initial screening call with target firms.

  • Always look for ways to help our clients and the firm improve processes and profitability and communicating suggestions to appropriate parties

  • Serve as analyst on multiple projects at once

  • Collaborate with internal staff or client staff to complete tasks as engaged by clients 
 What it takes to be an M&A Analyst:   
  • 1+ years of experience in financial analysis
  • Experience with Professional Service Firms is a plus.  
  • Bachelor's in accounting/finance or related field 
  • Ability to review financial reports balance sheets, profit and Loss statements and other reports to identify inconsistencies, errors, etc. 
  • Ability to reconcile financial discrepancies by researching and analyzing accounting data 
  • Knowledge of the entire accounting cycle from data entry to completion of financial statements 
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude

Salary:

The salary range for this position is an estimate of $75,000 - $85,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
