Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our legal team on an hourly, as-needed basis. This position reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer and involves close collaboration with our HR and Finance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong contract drafting skills, a practical business mindset, and excellent communication and drafting skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and redline commercial agreements, including customer and vendor contracts.
  • Collaborate with Legal and HR teams on employment-related matters and associated documentation.
  • Support Finance and Legal teams on a variety of compliance and tax-related issues, including contract amendments, order forms, and state registration filings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience, with a preference for candidates who have both in-house and law firm backgrounds.
  • Strong skills in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal communication.
  • Highly-organized, detail-oriented, and responsive.
  • Experience with SaaS agreements is preferred.
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple shifting priorities.
  • J.D. and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (New York preferred).
  • Remote, occasional in-person work required in New York City office.
