OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for managing the execution of product visions and the success of the employees involved. They will incorporate and maintain relationships with clients and employees as the ambassador both internally and externally. The Senior Product Owner translates product vision into action. They will be a representative of the company and are responsible for presenting the company positively to current and potential customers.

 

  • Work with the Director of Product Management to translate the product vision into a roadmap that will be broken down into well-defined product requirements. Including Epics, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
  • Prioritize product needs, define project constraints, and determine the deliverables to be in the development pipeline
  • Lead the prioritization, backlog grooming process, and sprint planning
  • Work with the development team to identify, define, and organize the steps required for the upcoming iterations
  • Identify any areas with the potential for improvements
  • Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement
  • Work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, identify priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
  • Prioritize and maintain the product backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders
  • Lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology
  • Actively mitigate roadblocks impacting successful team completion of sprint goals
  • Lead the product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionality
  • Serve as a product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the product
  • Work with the Director of Product Management to define and execute the go-to-market plan, working to ensure that product management, marketing, and sales have what they need to be successful
  • Keep customers and stakeholders informed of the status of the product
  • Help develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate the future investment.
  • Help establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for product management; monitor and report on KPIs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve KPIs
  • Oversee multiple products and teams, lead larger and more complex projects, and direct the work of one or more assigned business analysts
  • ALL Acumen employees will be vigilant to support the positive compliant cybersecurity company posture by familiarizing themselves with all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and act accordingly.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in product management, at least 3 of which are in a Product Owner capacity
  • 3+ years’ experience with Agile methodology in software development
  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Customer first, ABCD thinking mindset
  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
  • A high degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
  • High level knowledge of agile software development
  • Subject matter expert for the DCI product(s) for which this person is the Product Owner
