We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented professional with strong SQL skills, advanced Excel expertise, and a passion for process improvement to join our Treasury team. The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving, dashboard creation, and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
In this role you will:Develop and maintain comprehensive financial analytics and reports to support regulatory compliance and strategic decision-making.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance) to optimize workflows and drive project success.Design, build, and refine intuitive, data-driven dashboards that provide actionable insights for various stakeholders.Lean in to drive complex projects within Treasury Cash and Collateral Management, facilitating communication and problem-solving across teams.Conduct in-depth analysis to inform critical business decisions related to Treasury operations and strategy.Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.Skills we're looking for:Relevant experience: Demonstrated success in payments operations, banking and payments, or other operations roles in related fields.Organization & planning: Plans, organizes, and schedules in a productive manner, allowing for a focus on key priorities and regular updates.Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work in collaboration with various team membersStrong written and verbal communication: Speaks plainly and truthfully. Communicates complex ideas in a simple & easy-to-understand way for any audience (e.g. engineering, 3rd party vendors, growth/operational teams, executive team).Problem solving: If something seems off, you want to figure out what’s going on; you enjoy navigating uncertainty, bringing clarity to ambiguity and don’t wait for a playbook to be written.Proactive & Action Oriented: Acts without being told what to do; taking full ownership of work, and proactively seeks help and input when needed to provide well supported solutions.Efficiency: Ability to produce significant output with minimum wasted effort; finds the path of least resistance to the problem definition, solution and execution.Honesty/integrity: Doesn't cut corners; does what is right, not what is politically expedient.Data & analytics: Has a strong proficiency in SQL, and a history of using data to answer complex problems. Financial modeling, coding/automation, ability to contribute to a data model, and experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Superset) are an asset.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.3+ years of experience in financial analysis or similar role.Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Demonstrated experience in creating clear, impactful dashboards.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.Why Wealthsimple?
