Job description

Overview:

The Application Programmer is an integral part of the technical team, responsible for customizing and configuring the Intelligrants grant management software to meet the specific needs of the agency. The role requires a deep understanding of the software architecture and the ability to develop source code that enhances the functionality of the Intelligrants system for disaster recovery grants management.

 

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities:
  • Customize and configure Intelligrants software coding to provide agency-specific functionality that supports the unique requirements of the State's disaster recovery grants management.
  • Collaborate closely with the Application Architect and Application Database Administrator to ensure that the design and implementation of Intelligrants align with the complex needs of the State.
  • Develop and maintain source code primarily in Python, ensuring seamless integration with Heroku PostgreSQL databases and Microsoft Power BI reporting.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Create technical documentation to support code changes, including detailed comments within the code and external documentation for future reference.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any coding issues, providing technical support and enhancements as needed.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in grant management software, Python programming, database management, and data visualization technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:
  • Intelligrants Grant Management Software Architecture: Comprehensive understanding of the architectural framework of Intelligrants grant management software.
  • Source Code Development: Hands-on experience in Intelligrants source code development, with proficiency in Python, Heroku PostgreSQL, and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
  • Must possess problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

Pay Range: USD $102,980.80 - USD $123,302.40 /Yr.
