This role is open to being 100% remote within Canada while our home office is located in Toronto, Ontario. You may be required to travel to Toronto once per quarter for team and/or company events.

Who’ll You Be Joining: 

You’ll be joining the Digital team, reporting to the Sr. Director, Digital. We’re a tight-knit team of product managers, UX designers, copywriters, software engineers and QA, who collaborate to deliver best-in-class user experiences on ecobee.com. We are continuously striving to ensure ecobee.com best represents our brand, drives product sales, and supports customers with intuitive and frictionless experiences. We pride ourselves on being an action-oriented, highly collaborative team of smart and curious people.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Lead, develop and coach a passionate and diverse team of Product Managers
  • Create an environment that fosters creativity, builds trust, and keeps the team highly engaged and proud of the work they’re doing
  • Collaborate with team to develop long-term strategy and quarterly product roadmap for ecobee.com in collaboration with marketing, business development, product, customer service, finance, and operations
  • Be a champion for customers. Leverage data and consumer insights to identify and ship opportunities that improve the customer experience, and drive revenue growth on ecobee.com· Identify and action opportunities that improve engagement and drive operational efficiency within team
  • Coach and support Product Managers to plan out sprints with prioritized product backlogs and well-defined user stories
  • Use agile product management methods to facilitate daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Build culture of agile continuous improvement within team. Support Product Managers to ship frequently, A/B test, and run experiments that enable us to learn, iterate, and continuously improve on experiences

What You’ll Bring to the Table:  

  •  You are an exceptional leader, and have a passion for coaching and developing talent
  • Solid track record of product management experience, preferably in the eComm space
  •  You have experience working within agile delivery teams, or leading team members who work in agile
  •  Strong business acumen and analytical skills. You are comfortable deriving insights from data, and can put together business cases to assess the financial benefit of new opportunities.
  • Technical experience, with the ability to demonstrate the importance and impact of technical work to non-technical audiences
  • You have proven experience fostering strong relationships with cross-functional teams. You can effectively guide PMs to communicate and negotiate with other cross-functional members.
  • You have excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for a broad range of audiences, including executive leadership.
  •  Understanding of web development best practices and technologies such as content management systems, delivery networks, and accessibility requirements.
  • Sales management experience is an asset, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  •  Understanding and experience managing Shopify webstores is considered an asset.
  • You are energetic, curious, and a self-starter

What happens after you apply:

Interview Process (4 stages):  

  • A 30-minute phone call with a member of Talent Acquisition  
  • A 60 minute virtual interview with the Hiring Manager and member of the team focused on evaluating product management fundamentals and product intuition.
  • A 60 minute virtual interview with a cross-functional group of ecopeeps - this discussion will assess your collaboration style, conflict resolution, and resourcefulness.
  • The final interview will be a 2 part 60 minute case study interview with leadership and a group of ecopeeps.
