This is a remote contract position for those based in Poland.

As part of our Engineering function, you will work closely with clients to translate complex business requirements into innovative digital products.

Whether you are a Senior Engineer, Tech Lead, or DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with distributed teams, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to build secure, high-performance applications. Our Nearform engineers are known for building high quality, scalable solutions that solve real world problems.

The Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Nearform, you will work on client projects developing infrastructure to support cloud-based applications, creating deployment architect and continuous delivery pipelines, designing high-availability approaches, and implementing monitoring architecture (dashboards, alerts, escalations).

Essential skills

  • Proficient communication in English (oral and written)
  • Experience delivering at an enterprise level and a remote agile environment.
  • Experience of one or more of the following cloud platforms, AWS/Azure/GCP 
  • Experience with observability tooling (Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus etc)
  • Knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, tracing and dashboard definition/Integrations
  • Experience working with containers and container orchestration 
  • Experience with infrastructure as code technology
  • Experience with CI and building CD pipelines
  • Data storage experience with RDBMS and NoSQL technologies
  • Solid understanding of observability practices across the stack
  • Strong understanding of security best practices across CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders, feeling comfortable in client-facing roles where you will drive technical discussions and advise on best practices and approaches.

Application Process

  1. A Video Interview with someone from the recruitment team (30 mins approx.) to introduce to you Nearform and the role, and to make sure your experience is relevant for the position.
  2. An assessment with a member of the hiring team (1 hr approx.), this session is carried out using a screen share. You will be given a challenge and asked to provide a working solution to a specified problem.
  3. A video call with one of our Hiring Managers (45 mins approx.) which allows us to gain a better insight into what interests you, and your technical background, and give you an overview of the work we do at Nearform.

There may also be an additional interview with the client depending on the project. We also conduct background checks for anyone who joins Nearform.
