What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting as the trusted deputy to the SVP of Enterprise and Federal Growth.
- Serving as the voice of the customer—bringing distilled, defined, and actionable product requirements to the Product Management team. These should reflect blockers to winning upmarket business if left unresolved.
- Acting as a checkpoint during the translation of product requirements into engineering requirements, and tracking their progress and impact on pending and future upmarket deals.
- Providing customer-facing engineering expertise, allowing Engineering to stay focused and avoid disruption during sales technical deep dives.
- Partnering with Product Marketing on competitive differentiation and take-outs.
- Building and managing a team of Federal and Enterprise Sales Engineers over time, serving as a player-coach and setting the standard for technical expertise, enablement, and KSA requirements.
- Collaborating with leadership on budgeting and team growth forecasting to avoid premature hiring or bottlenecks during high-growth phases.
- Vetting upmarket opportunities to ensure roadmap resources are properly allocated and not overcommitted.
- Reviewing and optimizing the RFP process for Enterprise and Federal/SLED opportunities.
- Partnering with our growing Professional Services organization to review, audit, and develop a strategic plan.
- Advising and/or augmenting our Enterprise and Federal SE motion (TAM advisory), with potential for short-term reporting changes.
- Acting in the capacity of a Federal Product Manager—helping identify and prioritize needs vs. wants to drive maximum government adoption, with a focus on MVP.
- Supporting the Federal PMM with enablement and go-to-market strategy.
- Advising on Federal requirements and certifications (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, etc.).
- Other duties as needed
