About the role:
We’re looking for a Product Owner to help bring our ambitious plans to life. You’ll start by working with our London & Zurich brand, with opportunity to get involved in Paygate and Power2SMS down the line. This role is key to driving our product vision, making sure we stay at the forefront of the industry, and managing the details that make product development successful.
We’re also on an agile transformation journey, so your experience working in and/or willingness to learn working in different methodologies will be invaluable in helping us mature and grow.

Responsibilities:
Own and prioritise the product backlog, making sure it aligns with business goals, customer needs, and market trends. Balance new features, technical improvements, and bug fixes
Write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. Ensure development teams understand the requirements
Participate in sprint planning meetings to define goals and allocate tasks, ensuring the team knows what’s important
Turn strategic goals into detailed product plans and roadmaps. Make sure day-to-day activities align with the overall vision
Keep an eye on the market and our competitors to spot new opportunities and address any threats. Use these insights to guide product
Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure product requirements are understood and executed
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure the product meets their needs and those of our customers
Gather and analyse customer feedback through surveys, interviews, and usability tests. Use this information to inform product improvements
Work with Customer Support and Success teams to address customer issues and incorporate their feedback into product development
Balance customer needs, technology, risk, and commercial value to prioritise the most impactful ideas
Work with the Chief Technology Officer and Development Teams to manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch. Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and the Chief Operating Officer to ensure successful go-to-market execution
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement
Provide regular updates on product progress and performance to stakeholders. Keep everyone informed and aligned.
About You:
Your experience:
Experience as a Product Owner in software for financial services is preferred. However, substantial experience with Bacs or Direct Debit software platforms, alongside a strong background working directly with end customers in this environment and a demonstrated eagerness to transition into a product-focused role, will also be considered
Managing product backlogs, prioritising effectively by balancing commercial opportunities, operational requirements, risk mitigation, and customer needs
Experience of working with end customers and being able to establish product features to meet their needs
Commercial acumen to be able to generate revenue / value based business cases
Ideally, familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working closely with development teams.

LOCATION
This is a fully remote role, with the occasional need for travel for team meetings, training, client meetings etc.
