Responsibilities
The job holder is responsible for driving mid to long term strategy through effective management of sales & marketing activities for Medical Device business in Japan.
The National Business Manager is expected to drive growth & enhance market share by executing sales initiatives in alignment with region’s growth strategy and will be responsible for managing gross profit and operating margins in the country. The incumbent should be able to manage the Lean org. structure that requires effective team & channel network to grow the revenue in Japan
Responsibilities:
Develop country specific strategy with Regional Business Director, APAC, including identification of new distributors / Hospitals / Clinics and through consolidation of existing distributors where applicable
Manage contracts and prices for all distributors / Hospitals / Clinics within the country
Identify market trends and opportunities to support sales growth and business goals
Build strong relationships with key influencers including industry partners, KOLs, Governments and Institutions in Japan to build brand loyalty and increase sales
Handle distributor and customer requests for product information, including literature, videos, product descriptions, training materials, promotional and marketing material, etc.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to integrate into local regional marketing plans
May perform additional duties and special assignments as directed by management
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Minimally Invasive and other Surgery techniques
Ability to work well with both internal departments and external customers.
Outspoken individual with entrepreneurial mindset able to interact with B2B and B2C stakeholders
High level of work ethics and important degree of resilience
Language skills - proficient in speaking, reading and writing in Japanese and English
Understanding of the Medical Device industry in Japan and network of KOLs across the country
Experience:
Minimum 8 to 12 years ‘of which at least 3 to 5 years in a similar leadership position.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or master’s in business administration
Travel:
Expected to travel 50-75% each month. Attend medical conferences, exhibitions, and workshops as appropriate.
