As a People Development Consultant at Numerator, you have a strong interest in helping others to learn and grow. You will use a consultative approach to understand the learning, training, and development needs of the organization. You will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to develop impactful, engaging learning content for the organization. You have excellent facilitation skills and can confidently deliver learning content virtually and in person to various audiences, including leadership. You will be responsible for developing consultative relationships with Numerator’s department leaders, managers, and stakeholders to help promote people development at Numerator and to understand their challenges and needs.
Core Job Functions
Active Consultation: You will work with other members of the People Development & Experience team, as well as key stakeholders throughout the organization to gain knowledge of training needs and better understand the business challenges that training may help to resolve. You take a consultative approach to problem-solving. You use your consulting and interpersonal skills to work in partnership with stakeholders within Numerator. You develop strong relationships with internal “clients” to evaluate training effectiveness, receive feedback, and continue to improve programs and training initiatives for the future.
Interactive Learning Experiences: You will take training outlines and content and make it your own, turning static content into interactive learning experiences that will enhance the learner's ability to absorb and retain the material. You will use your knowledge and expertise to recommend and build instructional content such as individual training, group instruction, workshops, self-paced learning (e-learning), and video content.
Facilitation of Workshops: You are a strong facilitator. You will facilitate various engaging workshops and sessions across the broader organization to promote team building, continuous learning, and leadership development at Numerator. You will conduct sessions for a variety of audiences, including new hires during Orientation, and demonstrate credibility to all levels from recent graduates to senior leadership.
Evaluation of Program Effectiveness: You understand the importance of evaluating program effectiveness to understand the value-add and impact of learning, development, and experience initiatives throughout the organization. You support the team in compiling feedback based on programs and leveraging that feedback to promote and increase engagement with our programs and learning content.
Skills Training & Development: You understand that supporting employee growth and development is key to a successful organization. You will approach career development from a lens of inclusion and belonging. You lead our Skills Training program and initiatives, and work with subject matter expert trainers to develop content and moderate “classroom-style” learning sessions for all employees at the organization. You maintain a regular cadence for these sessions throughout the year and look for opportunities to expand upskilling initiatives throughout the organization.
Other: Assist with other tasks, special projects, and assignments on an as needed basis
What You'll Bring to Numerator
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, educational psychology, organizational management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a training role.
- Experience delivering multi-disciplined programs across a global organization.
