JOB OVERVIEW:

As a Senior PHP Developer with a strong focus on the Yii framework, you will play a key role in advancing the client's software development initiatives. Reporting to the Development Team Lead, you will be a core contributor to the team's mission of delivering top-tier, tailored software solutions.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using PHP, with a strong focus on Yii framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into efficient technical solutions.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
• Ensure scalability and performance of applications through code and database optimization.
• Maintain database integrity and efficiency through well-structured queries.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
• Take accountability for meeting project deadlines and ensuring deliverables align with company goals.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Strong experience with PHP and Yii framework.
Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Deep understanding of database modeling principles and SQL syntax.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and best branching/merging strategies.
Familiarity with testing principles and frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Relevant IT qualification preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a PHP Developer.

• Solid expertise in Yii framework.

• Experience writing optimized SQL queries using prepared statements and stored procedures.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable applications

• Strong MySQL expertise, including optimization, indexing, and stored procedures.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

Vue.js experience for building modern, interactive user interfaces.
