What You’ll Do:
The Lead Developer is responsible for developing and modernizing IT solutions, ensuring successful migration from legacy Microsoft architecture (Visual Basic, ASP.NET, and other Microsoft components) to open-source technologies such as React, Sveltekit, Java, Microservices, PostgreSQL, and Tomcat on Azure. This role involves leading end-to-end solution architecture design, ensuring seamless integration of components, and driving Agile software development practices.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in full software lifecycle development methodologies, delivering three or more successful software solutions using Agile methodologies. The role requires Microsoft Azure expertise and advanced database management skills.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Lead modernization efforts for IT solutions, migrating from legacy Microsoft-based architecture to open-source frameworks.
  • Design and manage the end-to-end architecture of IT solutions, ensuring all components integrate successfully.
  • Oversee and actively participate in full software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities using Agile methodologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and performance optimization.
  • Develop and deploy solutions in Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Utilize expertise in databases and related tools/utilities to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Hold a Public Trust or higher clearance.
What You’ll Need:
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and modernizing IT solutions.
  • Expertise in legacy Microsoft architectures (Visual Basic, ASP.NET) and modern open-source technologies (React, Sveltekit, Java, Microservices, PostgreSQL, Tomcat, Azure).
  • Strong experience in designing and managing end-to-end IT solution architecture.
  • Proven track record in delivering at least three software solutions using Agile methodologies.
  • Recent hands-on experience developing in Microsoft Azure.
  • Expert knowledge of databases and related tools/utilities.
  • US Citizenship required.
