You will execute warehouse operations in term of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policies compliance. You will also work collaboratively with key internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution. You will also be responsible for activities such as inventory management (iDoc management, stock reconciliation), interfaces monitoring, track and trace, claims management, invoice management, compliance execution (HSE, quality, risk management), tenders support, third-party performance management, pallets management.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Review and analyze stock inaccuracies and guarantee accurate stock alignment between SAP and the warehouse management system based on available information among stakeholders. Analyze and verify capacity utilization, performance and KPI monitoring, and introduce corrective measures in case of missing KPIs and the need to reduce additional capacity
  • Work with our service providers to ensure the delivery of our trading partners in terms of punctuality and completeness, taking into account quality and HACCP guidelines
  • Monitor inbound, outbound, co-packing, warehousing and distribution activities to ensure shelf-life monitoring and management, supports reduction of write offs and constantly looks for opportunities to improve productivities
  • Conduct project-related and ad hoc tasks, in particular in connection with continuous improvement projects and tenders and peak management
  • Build and provide full-cost analysis (yearly budget), risks and opportunities

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless logistics and customer service activities within the supply chain. You will act as a liaison between the company, customers, and logistics and warehousing partners to ensure efficient delivery of products, address customer concerns, and optimize logistics processes. 

What you need to know about this position:

Key Responsibilities: 

Customer Service Management: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding logistics inquiries and concerns. 

  • Provide timely and accurate information regarding order statuses, shipments, and delivery times. 

  • Resolve customer complaints or issues related to delivery delays, damages, or other logistics challenges. 

Operations Coordination: 

  • Oversee and manage logistics & warehousing operations, including coordinating inbound and outbound shipments. 

  • Ensure timely delivery of products, working closely with third-party logistics providers and warehouses. 

  • Track inventory movement and manage stock levels in collaboration with the warehouse team. 

  • Ensure gold standard quality & safety practices across warehousing and logistics as per defined policies. 

  • Continuously assess and plan warehouse transitions to manage Business Growth –proactive planning / Due Diligence / Approval process / Governance  

Cost Ownership 

  • Lead validation, provisioning and booking of Logistics & Warehousing expenses incurred. 

  • Strategize & lead negotiations with detailed opportunity identification for the region’s logistics partners 

  • Build a robust productivity pipeline for a rolling 24 month period 

Data Management & Reporting: 

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, customer interactions, and logistics-related data. 

  • Generate reports on delivery performance, inventory, and customer feedback to assess the effectiveness of logistics operations. 

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Identify areas for process improvement within logistics and customer service activities. 

  • Recommend and implement solutions to optimize logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. 

Collaboration & Communication: 

  • Work closely with internal teams (sales, warehouse, and procurement) to ensure smooth logistics operations. 

  • Foster positive relationships with logistics providers and other external partners to improve service levels.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (preferred). 

  • Proven experience in logistics operations, customer service, or a related field. 

  • Strong understanding of logistics software and tools (TMS, WMS, etc.). 

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong attention to detail and a customer-first mindset.

Job specific requirements:

This role typically operates in an office environment with occasional visits to warehouses or logistics centers.
