Summary:

Identifies opportunities for process optimization within EMC- Life underwriting and distribution. Supports the implementation of technology-driven improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Works with internal teams and stakeholders to assess requirements and align business processes with strategic goals. Assists in configuring, enhancing, and maintaining underwriting rules. Develops and maintains business intelligence (BI) and business analytics (BA) reports. Assists in the research and development of new insurance products.

Essential Functions:        

  • Identifies opportunities for process optimization within EMC- Life underwriting and distribution
  • Supports the implementation of technology-driven improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Assists in integrating digital solutions and automation across business functions
  • Collaborates with internal and external strategic business partners to drive process transformation initiatives
  • Supports change management efforts related to the adoption of new technologies and processes
  • Works with internal teams and stakeholders to assess requirements and align business processes with strategic goals
  • Assists in analyzing and defining business process methods and best practices
  • Assists in configuring, enhancing, and maintaining underwriting rules
  • Works with internal and external development teams to implement system enhancements and ensure business alignment
  • Develops and maintains business intelligence (BI) and business analytics (BA) reports
  • Supports the creation and organization of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, risk management, or related field
  • Two years of experience in life insurance, focusing on innovation transformation or underwriting

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with data-driven insights and create compelling reports
  • Strong ability to identify and implement innovative solutions
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes, rules engines, and digital transformation
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, visualization tools, and workflow automation platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $64,000-$89,000 range or the $71,000-$98,000 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range.  The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
