Requirements and responsibilities

This role will primarily be working on the BI Future project at Benenden Health, creating golden semantic models and a centralised reporting catalogue to replace the large number of existing internal reports.

Main duties:

Working with the Business Intelligence Architect, this role will deliver key elements of the BI Future project.
Design and develop golden semantic models based on business requirements, including managing dimensions, relationships, hierarchies and calculated measures.
Develop and deploy PowerBI reports based on business requirements, ensuring these are data rich and user friendly.
Implement best practices for semantic model and report design.
Conduct thorough testing of reports to ensure accuracy and functionality.

Experience:

PowerBI – strong proficiency and experience in developing reports and dashboards for a variety of business users.
Semantic models – strong experience of creating large semantic models to feed reporting, including dimensions, relationships, hierarchies and calculated measures.
Good knowledge of SQL and DAX.
Testing – experience of testing reports / models against raw data to ensure accuracy.
An understanding of the Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI service, and report deployment.
Experience of working on a similar project would be advantageous but is not necessary.
