About the role
The Director of Sales & Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic planning and execution of sales goals, team leadership, building partnerships, and identifying new market opportunities, all while ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals. This position reports directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company's business goals
Create and implement sales playbooks and processes
Develop and manage sales pipelines and forecasts
Lead and motivate a sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support
Foster a high-performing sales culture
Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals
Track and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and partners to optimize profitability, revenue, and client satisfaction
Monitor and evaluate existing partnerships and strategies
Recruit and develop productive Eleos integrator-resellers
Recruit and develop productive alliance partners such as telematics vendors
Negotiate and close deals with strategic partners
Represent the company at industry events and conferences
Lead presentations and engage in important meetings with key stakeholders
Collaborate and work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing teams
Contribute to product development and roadmap planning
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years sales experience and 3+ years’ experience in the SaaS software industry (Transportation industry experience is a plus)
Experience in motivating and inspiring high-performing sales teams
Deep understanding of the SaaS sales process and best practices
Knowledge of CRM software (HubSpot preferred)
Comfortable being accountable for measurable results
Experience working with channel partners in the SaaS software industry
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Willingness to travel monthly to meet with prospects, partners and key accounts around the U.S.
