This position is with the Global Strategic Communications Council (GSCC), a global network of communications professionals in the field of climate, energy, and nature. GSCC is a program hosted by the Meliore Foundation.
We are seeking a senior associate specialist in climate investment and green industry engagement. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a background in climate finance journalism, energy research, and/or green industry engagement to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel at fostering relationships with diverse partners in Singapore and the Southeast Asian region.
As part of an international team, you will leverage strategic communications to support Asia's transition to clean energy.

How you'll contribute
Establishing and leveraging partnerships with stakeholders in climate investment, green industry, and energy transition research to drive regional impact.
Developing, delivering, and proactively devising new interventions aligned with the GSCC Asia regional strategy and Asian national strategies, particularly focusing on mobilizing and amplifying voices from the climate investment community to create narratives that support Asia's energy transition.
Monitoring political and media debates across the region to identify opportunities for engagement and serving as a reliable source of information for colleagues and partners.
Acting as a point of contact for Singapore partners, providing communication services, strategic advice, and media relations support.
Co-developing strategies alongside partners to influence regional media debates, including enhancing digital engagement capabilities.
Contributing to the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of communications efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Training and empowering emerging voices to engage effectively in key debates based on ongoing analysis of media and political discussions.

Our ideal candidate has
Working background in climate investment, energy reporting and research, and/or green industry engagement: Candidates should have at least 7 years of working experience in the related field with in-depth understanding and experience in climate investment and green industry and understand how to contribute to industry transformation and sustainable development using communication as a tool.
Regional knowledge: a thorough understanding of the political, economic, and social dynamics of Singapore and the Southeast Asia region.
Excellent news judgment, a strong understanding of key media markets, and the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Independence in work with minimal supervision, along with a readiness to travel and adapt to unusual working hours as needed.
Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with proficiency in at least one relevant regional language.
The versatility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced work setting that involves different time zones and communication methods, with previous experience working in a remote and global environment.
A commitment to fostering high-trust relationships within a collaborative team environment and to an inclusive and empowering approach to climate and energy issues.
