Job description

Area Manager Centre South Italy - Fresh Goods Growers for IFCO


Mission

The IFCO Centre South Area Manager Italy is responsible for developing strong relationships with existing growers, connecting with key business executives, and stakeholders to further develop the IFCO market position.


Main activities

The Area Manager is also responsible to answer grower queries and identify new business opportunities among existing growers; to liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Sales Support, Supply Chain, and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience. Among tasks:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting grower relationships and negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits;
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of company solutions according to customer needs and objectives;
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas (New Market Verticals, Supply Chain collaborations, etc.);
  • Forecast and track grower metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and prepare reports on account status;
  • Collaborate with the Account Managers to identify and grow opportunities within territory;
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure credit collections;
  • Ensure the correct application of the company sales tools (Salesforce).


Requirements


Must have

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • 4+ experience in sales/account management/buyer/category or logistic/supply chain functions;
  • 4+ experience in Logistics/3PL/food system or GDO or FMCG businesses;
  • Knowledge of working with a CRM system and perfect use of Excel;
  • Strong commercial ability and enhanced presentation, negotiation, and communication skills;
  • High level of energy, strong sense of commitment, results drive;
  • Good knowledge English is required.


Nice to have

  • Proven track record to manage growers and increase sales;
  • An experience in the food business would be preferable;
  • Some pooling business model understanding;
  • Multicultural experience in international environments.
