We're looking for a Remote iOS Engineer based in Canada to join our collaborative team.

Yelp connects users with great local businesses and empowers them to share their experiences, helping others discover new favorites. Our small yet impactful iOS team plays a crucial role in enhancing user engagement for millions.

Our Client Data team is looking for an iOS Engineer to help shape the direction for GraphQL APIs on iOS at Yelp. You'll use GraphQL to seamlessly deliver data to millions of users and devices worldwide, across all platforms. Our team supports hundreds of engineers across the company, actively using and contributing to open-source tools like GraphQL and Apollo.

What You'll Do

• Build scalable libraries/frameworks//tooling/infrastructure for data fetching focusing on developer experience, reliability, and efficiency.
• Scope, design and lead iOS projects from conception to completion.
• Evaluate the latest technologies used in the industry and contribute to updating the team roadmap.
• Write clear and concise technical documentation.
• Mentor other engineers and share the skills you’ve learned.
• Embrace opportunities for continuous learning and growth, and help the team take on new challenges.
  
  

What It Takes To Succeed

• Several years of experience with the iOS platform, using Swift or Objective-C
• A strong interest and experience in working on iOS libraries, frameworks, and other platform projects.
• Experience with data fetching on iOS apps (e.g. GraphQL, REST APIs).
• Experience with iOS testing, from breaking controller logic into unit-testable pieces to automated testing.
• A willingness to tackle scalability, reliability, and performance challenges.
  
  

What You'll Get

• Compensation range is $101,000-$237,000 annually. Depending on your role and level, you may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
• This opportunity has the option to be fully remote in all locations across Canada.
