About the opportunity

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of our software products. You will work closely with your peers to understand customer requirements and translate them into functional software solutions. In this role, you will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

This is a remote role open to applicants in Canada. 

Job Duties

• Support the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements
• Writing clean, maintainable and efficient code
• Support troubleshooting and debugging software issues
• Support code reviews to ensure code quality
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development

Technical Qualifications:

• Proficient in Golang.
• Experienced with Git and GitHub.
• Skilled in RESTful services; familiarity with gRPC and GraphQL is a plus.
• Experienced in API design and development.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL databases, particularly managing large datasets.
• Experienced with CI/CD pipeline development and management.
• Skilled in creating and maintaining Dockerfiles.
• Experienced in concurrency and ensuring data integrity under concurrent conditions.
• Familiarity with rate limiting techniques is a plus.
• Knowledgeable about software development best practices.
• Designs, develops, and maintains complex software systems with a focus on scalability and clarity.
• Able to transform business requirements into software solutions with supervisor guidance.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in software engineering

The base salary range for this position is $76,410 to $84,900. Range shown in $CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
