Position Overview
Instructors will join SEO’s community of passionate educators to implement a rigorous college prep curriculum for motivated and driven high school students. Using our original curriculum and a student-centered approach to teaching and learning, instructors play an integral part in supporting our Scholars’ journeys to a competitive college and beyond. Instructors promote depth of understanding and skill acquisition by serving as a coach and facilitator of learning. This Instructor will teach our Advisory, Identity & Empowerment (IE) course for 10th Grade Scholars.
SEO Miami is a bichronous program for Scholars with lesson instruction is held 100% online, facilitated through Zoom.
The Courses
Identity and Empowerment Instructors teach/facilitate our Advisory course. This course is designed to prepare Scholars for academic and social success. Throughout their time in SEO’s High School Scholars program, Advisory includes two courses, Identity & Empowerment (IE) and Level All. Level All is a college and career readiness partner. 9-11th grade lessons are organized by the following 5 themes: Preparing for Success in High School, Career Exploration, Affording College, College Exploration and Decision Making, College Applications and Admissions.
