Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cobol Programmer with a strong background in local and international clearing processes (CI, CL). The ideal candidate will have in-depth  knowledge of banking operations, experience with Cobol programming, and a passion for delivering effective software solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Develop, modify, and maintain Cobol applications related to local and international clearing processes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and enhance existing systems.

- Ensure that applications comply with banking regulations and adhere to security best practices.

- Perform testing and debugging of Cobol programs to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Document technical specifications, coding procedures, and system functionalities.

- Assist in the migration of existing applications to newer platforms or systems as necessary.

- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to clearing processes and Cobol programming.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 3-5 years of experience in Cobol programming, specifically within the context of local and international clearing.

- Strong understanding of banking operations and clearing processes (CI, CL).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

- Familiarity with modern development methodologies and tools is a plus.
