Sales Director, Food Manufacturing (Eastern Territory USA)

We are seeking a experienced Sales Director to grow and develop the eastern territory of the United States. The main responsibility for this position would be to oversee the growth of sales of all IRCA products in a designated region within the North American territory. This would involve developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with customers. It is also important for you to ensure that all sales activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and BRC standards. This would involve staying up to date with relevant regulations and industry standards and ensuring that all sales activities are compliant.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives: This would involve analyzing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and developing sales strategies to drive growth and achieve sales budgets.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners such as manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, to drive sales revenue.
Create and maintain accurate account plans within the CRM system.
Create selling opportunities by understanding the pain points of customers, and how our products can provide a beneficial solution.
Work with our Marketing and Innovation teams to develop opportunities for engagement with clients, ensuring sales budgets and targets are met.
Oversee, develop, and execute sales of our full product line in territory
Negotiate commodity pricing and implement sales and marketing agreements with customers
Prepare sales reports, including the opportunity pipeline for volume and revenue growth. This would involve analyzing sales data and preparing reports to provide insights into sales performance and identify areas for growth.
Utilize CRM system to keep accurate records of potential customers & track follow up on all potential new leads, samples, projects to manage the opportunity pipeline.
Prepare customer forecasts to assist in production planning and inventory management.
Attend trade shows, industry events and conferences.
Keep up to date with current industry trends and maintain awareness of new products and ideas.
Regular reporting on sales activities and opportunities to VP of Sales
Support and encourage a positive team approach with fellow sales reps and internal support staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in business administration, sales, or a related field, or four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 10 years of combined sales experience within Food Manufacturing segment.
Must have the ability and desire to make sales calls, in person and virtually.
Minimum 5 years of experience selling chocolate ingredients in B2B segment.
Possess the ability to lead customer sales meetings, create account plans, creatively solve problems, and forecast inventory needs
Ability to work flexible schedule with large amount of travel, if necessary
Strong communication skills are essential, including both verbal and written capabilities, with an emphasis on strong presentation ability
Strategic thinking skills with ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks are needed
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills in all interactions with customers, colleagues and company management
Home office based
Must be willing travel approximately 50% around the the Eastern Regions of the US.
