POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Director - Business Intelligence is responsible for leading the strategy, design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s BI solutions, data warehouse, and analytics framework. This role ensures that the organization leverages data effectively to drive informed decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and achieve business objectives. The position involves close collaboration with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, business units, and IT teams.

Hybrid or Remote, with 10% travel on-site for onboarding and/or as needed
COMPENSATION
This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards, consisting of a salary base pay plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the organization’s BI strategy to align with business objectives. Oversee the development and evolution of the data warehouse, BI tools, systems, and processes. Stay current with emerging trends in BI, analytics, and data technologies.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BI analysts, BI developers, and data engineers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the BI team.
Data Infrastructure & Governance: Oversee the architecture and management of the organization’s data warehouse, ETL processes, and analytics platforms. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and enforce data governance standards and best practices.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business units to understand their data and reporting needs. Collaborate with executive leadership to provide insights and analytics that support strategic decision-making. Serve as the primary point of contact for BI initiatives and projects.
Performance & Analytics: Monitor and measure the performance of BI solutions to ensure they meet organizational goals. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards for real-time insights. Continuously evaluate and improve BI processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Project Management: Lead end-to-end BI projects, including scoping, resource allocation, and timeline management. Manage vendor relationships and external resources as necessary. REQUIREMENTSMUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related field. 3+ years in a leadership role managing team and driving BI strategies. Proven experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) and data platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS, or Azure). Strong knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, ETL processes, and advanced analytics techniques. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and strategic-thinking abilities. Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with data governance, privacy laws, and compliance requirements. Good understanding of visualization techniques and best practices. Ability to present ideas and concepts in a team environment that values data-driven decisions. Ability to communicate, engage, and influence effectively across the organization.
