Job description

Column Five is a B2B marketing agency that specializes in brand and content marketing for SaaS companies.

We’re looking to hire a US-based part-time Associate Copywriter who has promising talent and a proven ability to write the best stories for our B2B tech clients. This person will be responsible for a wide range of copy projects in a collaborative environment — from ebooks and whitepapers to social ads, blogs, and beyond. This role collaborates with strategists, art directors, designers, and producers to ensure integrity and alignment in their work. Creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and brand voice execution are paramount to the success of the work in this role. The Associate Copywriter reports to our Content Manager.

The hours expectation per week for this role is 20–30 hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES FOR THE ASSOCIATE COPYWRITER

  • Proactively support creative team as the in-house copywriter for a variety of clients across many different industries
  • Write engaging, audience-focused stories that bring complex B2B tech concepts to life
  • Edit and polish copy to uphold clarity, consistency, and impeccable quality in alignment with brand standards
  • Juggle multiple projects across a multidisciplinary team while maintaining precision and creativity 
  • Understand each client’s messaging, voice, and audience, and write copy that aligns with the brand’s goals
  • Work autonomously in the role and on project responsibilities
  • Be a point of contact for copy deliverables, present work internally and to clients

  • Strong research abilities and attention to detail
  • Creativity and a collaborative spirit that thrives in a team setting
  • Precision when facing tight deadlines, with an obsession for detail
  • Able to self-manage multiple projects and thrive in an autonomous work environment
  • Ability to develop creative concepts and content based on the strategy of the client

COMPENSATION
Compensation is dependent upon experience. This role is part time, likely 25-30+ hours weekly. The hourly rate range for this role is $30 - $45 per hour. This position is part-time and will not include most benefits until it becomes a full-time position.

LOCATION
We are a distributed- or remote-first company. We are open to working with you if you live anywhere in the USA.
