Currently we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Team and help us make our company even more data-driven. Results of your work will directly impact our product development, ways we support our customers and at the end of the day, will influence our high level business strategy - if you’re ready to take over initiative and believe in data-driven businesses this will be a perfect role for you!
Daily activities:
Build a cloud-based platform that will be the foundation for our reporting suite and internal data systems
Model data according to business requirements using industry standards (Kimball, OBT)
Develop incremental ELT pipelines using Python and PySpark
Continually improve Delta Lakehouse for high efficiency, throughout and quality of data
Work on data lineage, catalogue and governance
Ensure engineering and programming practices among the whole team by enforcing SWE standards (testing, CI/CD, development environment, code reviews, monitoring, documentation)
Cooperate with Data Analysts and other data-related roles and provide engineering mentorship
Develop standard methodologies and lay out processes for data projects
3+ years of commercial experience in a Data Engineering role
4+ years commercial experience with Python
Experience in building and managing Data Warehouse / Lake / Lakehouse
Very good understanding of database related concepts and query optimization techniques
Hands-on experience with orchestration and building cloud data ingestion tools
Experience in working in a cloud environment with assuring data quality, lineage, catalogue, and governance
Knowledge of industry standards (SWE, DE) and experience in implementing them in the organization
Very good communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent team player who embraces teamwork and mutual support

Knowledge of Delta Lake storage framework
Familiarity with Docker and Terraform
