Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Create new and maintain existing CMS-based websites and pages using modern web standards and best practices. Deliver responsive, user-friendly web pages using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Create and maintain visual and interactive elements.
Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
Strategic team member for the design of WashU Medicine Web Ecosystem.
Take part in and lead areas of discovery work to understand next generation of the WashU Medicine-wide ecosystem.
Understand impact of the rebrand for WashU Medicine on the solution.
Support the build solution for HIPAA compliant data analytics.
Ensure the solutions is compliant with WashU OGC and IT Roll out plan across 1,200 websites that impact tripartite mission-education, research and clinical care.
Roll out plan for the solution to include training, resources and support infrastructure.
Strategic lead for cloud-based solutions:
Support to internal communications chosen platform or web build.
Support to enterprise-wide tools i.e. emma.
Support and maintenance including:
Work with back-end developers to integrate APIs and other
services.
Maintain and improve website performance, usability and accessibility.
Manage ongoing problem solving and support projects from clients throughout the organization.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting UI/UX issues.
Conduct thorough testing of web applications to identify and fix bugs, ensuring high levels of reliability and performance.
Provide counsel to clients that are managing over 1,000 individual sites.
Utilizing analytics, continuously optimize website(s) performance, including optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability, employing techniques such as code minification, image optimization, and caching.
Define enterprise-wide needed solutions for common functional
needs which may demand custom coding if not available in an
offered plug in.
Perform other duties as assigned. Crosstrain and serve as back up to the back-end developers on the web team.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) plus three (3) years of experience.
Proven experience as a web developer or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing past web projects.
Proficiency in front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
