Job description

As part of our Finance team, you will play a key role in the accounting function within our dynamic and ever-growing organization.  This position involves essential operational tasks in the day-to-day business, requiring a high degree of independence and reliability.  You will report directly to the UK Controller.

 

👉 Accounting / Tax / Payroll

  • Ensure regular and accurate bookkeeping tasks are completed, including daily invoicing and bank reconciliations
  • Implement monthly closing of the books, review and structure accounting methods and processes (revenue recognition, accruals bookings, etc)
  • Ensure the production and issuance of financial information: Statutory financial statements prepared under UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (UK GAAP) and monthly accounts for the Group reporting
  • Ensure compliance in accounting, payroll and tax aspects (relying on an external support of professional tax & payroll firms)
  •  Assist in the year-end close process and financial reporting
  • Support annual audits and ensure their successful completion in line with Group requirements
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
  • Manage the Accounts Receivables cycle and collection of outstanding invoices
  • Manage the Accounts Payables cycle (in particular, monitoring payments and booking of payments)
  • Actively optimize accounting processes in terms of quality and timeliness

👉 Controlling

  • Support the creation of reports to cover the group and entity’s needs (revenue by customer, by type of service, monthly P&L, intercompany declarations, follow up of extraordinary items, pricing reports)
  • Ensure their timely submission to the group finance and to the local management
  • Actively collaborate with group FP&A team to analyse and improve performance indicators  

The perfect match...

  • Studies in finance, accounting and/or business administration
  • 7 to 10 years professional experience in a similar position (Accountant, Senior Accountant) 
  • Deep knowledge of UK GAAP Financial Statements, Companies Act 2006 Compliance and the process of filing with UK Companies House would be an advantage
  • Experience in multinational environment with group policy, reporting, deadlines, frequent communication
  • Knowledge of our cloud-based accounting software platform Xero would be an advantage
  • Tax & HR payroll management
  • Mastery of Excel

📍 Location: London - Hybrid or full-remote based in the United Kingdom with a few days per month on premises. During the onboarding period, we expect our employee to come a bit more in our London office
