Location:  Remote - US/USA

Summary:

As a Compliance Analyst, you will direct, plan and monitor outside/third party/compliance services programs, to ensure that practices, procedures and policies are being utilized comply with state/province/territory and county rules and regulations. Third Party Services provide a solution to AHJ restrictions that require Vector to contract with outside companies to provide proprietary services. The Compliance Manager also provides experience and expertise researching and processing applicable licensing and other government regulations to ensure VSN is operating in full compliance in all States and Counties.

What You'll Do:

  • Departmental Administration:
    • Oversee the National Compliance Department covering all North American/Canadian Operations.
    • Coordinate quarterly for Communications meeting and weekly and daily to clarify objectives and new business for six areas of focus to include:
      • Licensing compliance – Contractor recruiting and maintenance – Compliance services – Third party services (TPS) – Insurance upkeep, certificate requests and records maintenance – Badging and maintenance for NAD and Contractor.
    • Set goals based upon objectives for each area along with revenue and profitability targets if applicable.
  • Licensing Compliance:
    • Monitor changing requirements as well as new ones and comply according so work can progress unimpeded.
    • Maintain an extensive database of AHJ requirements for UL, NFPA72, Licensing and Monitoring Permits along with all associated renewal forms.
    • Work closely with Corporate Legal Departments Compliance Coordinator to resolve complex licensing issues relating to requirements, application processing and Qualifying Manager selection process.
    • Qualify and maintain a pool of Vector employees who qualify to hold various licensing required for Vector to sell, monitor and perform work.
  • Third-Party Services:
    • Draft Policy & Procedures to provide solutions for our Customer's to strengthen partnership and increase retention.
    • Review and sign-off on 3rd Party contracts
    • Review costs to be billed to Customer.
  • Runner Service:
    • Understand burglar runner and put customer request we put on runner service.
    • Work with providers to negotiate rates and manage the relationships.
    • Review the incident reports, coordinate with customers and determine the third-party services.
  • Canada:
    • Manage ULC for Canada – Contracting, upload Costs and get customer sign off.
    • Visit ULC portal register at sites, to get certification issued and renewed.
    • Visit different provinces to create partnerships with monitoring companies.
    • Draft manuals, complete translations and formatting to be followed.
    • Oversee bills and FCC telecommunication bills for accuracy.
    • Coordinate for Annual Audits.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • 10-Years: Commercial Construction/Security Industry Experience:
    • Building Codes, National Electric Code, good knowledge of construction in general, risk management, awareness of construction project flows, multiple jurisdiction codes.
  • Must Possess Thorough Knowledge & Experienced in the Following:  Government licensing requirements and related agency protocols. Insurance limits, language and terms required for and from various parties.  North American Geography:
    • To determine requirements accurately and comply accordingly.
    • To understand limits of liability and to request certificates of insurance accurately.
    • Important for most all applications working in a National Account environment.
  • Computer Literacy & Advanced Departmental Document Scanning Techniques:
    • Must be highly proficient; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and have full understanding to implement a paper-free workplace.
  • Organization Skills:
    • Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects, departments, and personnel.
    • Must be able to meet Customer (Internal and External) deadlines.
  • Capacity to Create Effective Team-Oriented Work Atmosphere:
    • Must be able to develop team concepts and work with multi-departmental personnel.
  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Must be able to intelligently communicate (verbal and written) at the highest levels to internal and external Customers and Senior Management.
  • Maintain Confidential Information & Material:
    • Must be able to maintain company and personnel confidential information, must possess a high level of Integrity.
  • Decision-Making Based Upon Sound Judgement, and Possess the Highest Levels of Attention to Detail:
    • Must be able to make the sound and accurate decisions that will affect our company/department financial success.
    • In addition, must be able to make personnel decisions regarding Hiring, Termination, Promotion, Counseling, Mentoring, Counseling, and administer disciplinary actions as may be required.
  • Conflict Resolution:
    • Must be able to mediate conflict or problems effectively between parties to affect a positive outcome.
