Summary of the role
The Solution Consulting function fulfills a critical role at the forefront of our sales and client relationship management process. The team works closely with Sales, Product, Product Marketing, Operations and Technology teams as well as external partners to optimize the positioning of Amadeus solutions and partnerships towards corporations.
The scope of the team is global and covers solution consulting across the direct and partner channels. The Solution Consultants tailor the approach to each client engagement by researching the company and industry, and ensuring that our solutions drive value and achieve business outcomes for various personas and stakeholders within the client organizations.
In This Role You’ll:
Perform discovery with prospects and qualify which opportunities to pursue to optimize the success rate and the value for the customer and for Amadeus.
Articulate the value of Cytric/Amadeus solutions and our partner portfolio throughout the sales cycle, optimizing the match with clients' business needs.
Lead the solution definition, scoping and alignment, and manage stakeholder expectations (internal and external).
Manage strategic bids and collaborate closely with the sales lead throughout the sales cycle.
Establish strong relationships with prospects and clients and act as trusted advisor, which is instrumental to help Amadeus secure and retain business.
Contribute with input on prospect requirements to Product Marketing teams, ensuring alignment between client needs and product development.
Lead and/or contribute to strategic projects and initiatives.
Client Engagement and Consulting
Conduct discovery sessions with prospects, qualify opportunities, and tailor your approach to each engagement.
Use insights and consultative selling techniques to engage with customers in the context of their specific industry, offer unique perspectives that link back to Amadeus Cytric solutions.
Articulate the value of Cytric solutions and our partner portfolio, help prospects and clients understand the strategic advantage of our offerings.
Coach customer stakeholders, build consensus within their organizations, and establish yourself as a trusted partner.
Strategize with sales team members to identify the most persuasive approaches, address deal-level challenges, and increase sales velocity, volume, and deal size.
Solution Definition & Demonstrations
Perform assessment, qualification and definition of solutions including Amadeus assets, integration with prospect/client environment and 3rd parties.
Lead solution scoping and alignment processes (internal/external) throughout the sales cycle, ensuring that proposed solutions meet the unique needs of each client.
Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations of the Amadeus Cytric platform and associated applications, utilizing a configurable demonstration environment.
Build and maintain thorough knowledge of the global Amadeus solution portfolio, including in-house assets and those offered by our partners.
Maintain knowledge of competitors' products and stay current with industry events and product offerings to provide a comprehensive view during demonstrations.
Respond to RFPs/RFIs in collaboration with the sales team, aligning solutions to prospect requirements.
Organize validation and sign-off on high level scope prior to contract, and hand over to Delivery (internal/partner) for implementation.
Collaboration & Strategic Leadership
Manage strategic bids and collaborate with the sales lead, contribute to territory planning and deal reviews.
Lead and contribute to strategic projects and initiatives that drive the success of the organization.
Provide advice and guidance to other Solutions Consultants, participate in the professional development of new team members.
Provide advice & guidance to other internal teams as required, promote and support internal knowledge sharing.
Contribute with input on prospect requirements to Product Marketing teams, ensure alignment between client needs and product development.
Promote stakeholder engagement between internal teams, prospects/clients, service partners and other 3rd parties to support the overall proposal and client management process and to ensure end to end solution offer consistency and viability.
Participate in trade shows, user conferences, and other events as a representative of Amadeus.
About the Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 10 years in the IT industry, in product/solution management/consulting or presales role with client-facing responsibilities
Practical experience in a multinational, multicultural and virtual working environment
Demonstrated experience in making formal presentations including ability to consult prospects/clients
Proficiency in relationship building, negotiation and persuasion
Understanding of and experience in the travel, expense management and payment industry
Knowledge of relevant industry IT systems or processes (knowledge of Amadeus IT products and services a plus)
Strong knowledge of current, travel-related, PC and mobile solutions and apps
Strong knowledge of finance, expense management, ERP systems and SAP integration
Broad business knowledge: Ability to interpret and utilize industry information on competitors
10-30 % travel in the US
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet applications
English speaking
Knowledge of online booking and expense management tools
Knowledge of finance and payment processes
Knowledge of ERPs such as Oracle Financial and SAP, and integration with travel related tools
