What is the Global Shareholder Services team responsible for?

The Global Shareholder Services team is responsible for providing customer service for Franklin Templeton’s most valuable advisors, supporting internal groups on operational matters and overseeing all aspects of outsourced TA vendors.  This includes:

  • Dedicated customer service coverage for High-Net-Worth advisors.

  • Monitoring of critical vendor processes to ensure adherence with firm policies and regulations.

  • Developing firm, client and advisor notifications on upcoming initiatives, regulatory changes, or service updates.

  • Working closely with internal business partners and outsourced vendors to support crisis management and escalation resolution.

  • Providing operational support for regional product, marketing, and distribution initiatives.

What is the Client Specialist responsible for?

The Client Specialist at Franklin Templeton oversees all service aspects for High-Net-Worth advisors, acting as the primary contact and offering tailored support to build strong, long-term relationships. They proactively engage with advisors to understand their needs, provide personalized solutions, and ensure high satisfaction levels. This role demands significant collaboration with outsourced vendors and internal departments, working closely with various areas within the firm and various management levels to address and resolve escalated issues effectively.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Client Specialist?

Primary Point of Contact

  • Act as the main liaison for High-Net-Worth advisors.

  • Deliver customized support to cater to each advisor's unique needs.

  • Cultivate and sustain strong, long-term relationships with advisors.

Proactive Engagement

  • Initiate contact with advisors to understand their specific requirements and preferences.

  • Provide tailored solutions to meet advisors' needs.

  • Maintain high satisfaction levels through proactive and responsive communication.

Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with outsourced vendors to ensure smooth service operations.

  • Partner with internal departments to align efforts and resolve issues.

  • Work with various teams within the firm to support overall service objectives.

Issue Resolution

  • Lead or assist in resolving escalated issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with all levels of management to address and solve complex problems.

  • Ensure efficient and effective resolution of any service-related concerns.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
  • In-depth understanding of:

    • Mutual fund business, processes, and structure.

    • Transfer Agency operational and service processes, methodologies, and terminology.

    • Industry and regulatory issues and how those regulations may impact Funds, outsourced vendors, and Franklin Templeton.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong project management skills & multi-tasker; ability to pivot from one issue to another.

  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
