Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Officer to join TR's Development team! The Strategic Partnerships Officer (SPO) will play an integral role in helping Team Rubicon’s Strategic Partnership team meet its annual fundraising goal and represent the organization at all levels, both internally and externally, with prospects, partners, donors, and influencers capable for supporting TR’s mission through contributions, marketing and communications support, and in-kind services & goods. This position will require the ability to apply superior relationship-building skills, mature judgement, strategic thinking and tactics, and excellent writing and relationship-building abilities. The Strategic Partnership Officer will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of companies capable of making gifts of $500,000 and above to support Team Rubicon’s dual mission of disaster relief and veteran integration. The Strategic Partnership Officer will create strategies for existing supporters, as well as new prospects, and work closely with the Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships and TR Leadership to move prospects along the continuum of giving to achieve annual financial and marketing, communications and brand goals.

Duties:
- Work with the Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships to develop, implement, and measure the success of TR’s strategic partnership plan and support day-to-day management of the Development department.
- Aid in building internal processes to successfully manage current portfolios and scale partnership outcomes to match TR’s growth plan.
- Develop strategy, steward, and strengthen and grow a portfolio of prospect and current corporate partners with minimal to no oversight (with goal of managing a portfolio of up to 100 accounts).
- Serve as liaison between partners and TR internal stakeholders, to communicate needs, solve issues and create collaborative strategic relationships.
- Negotiate, craft, interpret, and enforce legally binding contracts with prospective and current strategic partners.
- Analyze and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes, and report on key metrics.
- Assist in research, creation, and submission of pitch/proposal and reporting materials for current and potential partners.
- Cultivate, manage, support, and track relationships with assigned portfolio of corporate partners and prospects within CRM.
- Support all TR facilities with on-the-ground partner activities and act as day-of TR liaison as needed on response operations and at events.
Education and Background:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5-8 years of experience in account and/or portfolio management at an agency or comparable nonprofit; or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated success in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding sales and/or donors
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or Mission CRM as well as Microsoft Office Suite/365, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to use good judgment to handle confidential information sensitively
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population
Special Requirements:
- This is a full-time; remote position and can be based anywhere within the United States and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)
- Evening and weekend schedule supporting leadership meetings, video conferences, events, and operations
- Required: This position requires up to 40% travel for site visits, conferences, and donor meetings
