The Senior Business Systems Analyst performs a critical function in support of this goal and the ongoing evolution of our technology and platform strategy: ensuring that the intersection of our data and platform with our end users are choreographed to optimize our ‘in the moment’ patient care and guidance, with clarity and accuracy.

In addition to this role supporting discovery and analysis of our evolving platform and optimized human/system business functions, we are seeking an individual that can help establish patterns and practices for scalable, repeatable integrated research and discovery of human-system interactions that is tightly coordinated with our product development lifecycle. The role will be working most closely with our member and operations experience development team and in both supporting new use case ideation and discovery, as well performing quality analysis existing user/system functions to inform the continuous evolution of capabilities aligned with our quality objectives (reliability, security, safety, scalability, etc.). We are looking for people who want to shape the evolution of our platform and associated capabilities where adaptability to new technology, tools, and frameworks will be an important trait.

What you’ll do…

  • Working with business and technical requirements to elicit business/data requirements that inform data model and user interaction needs

  • Ability to undertake independent research and informational interviews with business and technical stakeholders and develop process models and design overviews that outline the sociotechnical current state

  • Support project management considerations by developing investigation and implementation plans and coordinating with program management team to communicate and coordinate on dependencies, risks, and action items.

  • Support roadmap development/updates on new & existing initiatives by anticipating capacity impacts and areas of prioritized focus

  • Develop impact assessments that assess the optimization/development opportunities from new business and technical requirements

  • Perform business rule and process analyses and apply critical thinking to reach conclusions on optimization opportunities regarding user and business system interactions

  • Working with stakeholders to support effective change management control and training handoff from development initiatives to the operational support teams

  • Ongoing analysis and profiling of system interaction models for optimal usage and quality / accuracy

  • Support engineering and analytics stakeholders in the incremental development and test of key business events that inform data science, analytics, reporting, and business insight generation

About you…

  • 8+ years working in a healthcare administrative or clinical domain as a data analyst with internal and external business users and common platforms (patient portals, electronic medical records, revenue cycle management, business intelligence, management KPI dashboards, etc.)

  • Familiarity with process & system modeling best practices / structures

  • Experience with modeling and analysis of data systems

  • Experience in end user research and experience analysis including leading interviews, utilization data analysis, contextual inquiry, and independent heuristic review.

  • Familiarity with data access and query models (business intelligence tools, direct SQL, etc.)

  • Knowledge and experience of healthcare compliance obligations (HIPAA, CMS Rules, etc.) and quality certification/accreditation models (ex: NCQA, URAC) is highly desirable

  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills are a must

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $145,000 - $155,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
