Job summary:

The Ad Council’s Insights & Analytics team is looking for a Campaign Analyst who will play a key role in examining campaign performance from a multi-media lens. By providing strategic recommendations and actionable insights, you’ll help optimize and improve campaign performance to solve our clients’ business problems, while working collaboratively with our Media, Strategy, Campaign Management and Digital teams.

The compensation for this position is within the range of $72,000 – $80,000 annually (based on experience level). The compensation package also includes an annual incentive, comprehensive benefit offerings, and generous paid time off.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor and analyze a breadth of media, video, social, mobile and web data to provide insight into the performance of clients’ omni-channel marketing programs
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to build campaign objectives, identify measurable KPIs, and develop measurement strategies
    • This includes fostering alignment across teams on campaign KPIs, ensuring different functional teams are represented and understand how they contribute to campaign goals
  • Ensure consistent and relevant analytics reporting across campaigns with the intent to optimize and influence strategic direction by:
    • Helping build out and maintain data visualization and dashboards to communicate campaign performance to internal and external partners
    • Creating and/or maintaining Solution Design Reference documentation (SDRs) for campaign sites to ensure efficient Google Analytics tracking
    • Reviewing Google Analytics tagging implementation
    • Communicating and assessing levers for campaign optimization with Ad Council’s donated media model in mind
  • Present comprehensive findings and recommendations to both clients and internal teams
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as needed to provide real-time insight on new campaign launches and high-profile events and issues
  • Maintain a working knowledge and documentation of a variety of campaign projects to ensure analysis is founded in important context.
  • Represent the Analytics department within internal campaign-specific cross-functional teams, owning all marketing analytics responsibilities and deliverables
  • Assist efforts to improve and refine analytics offerings by staying up to date with emerging trends and best practices
  • Communicate campaign-specific trends to broader analytics team to inform department projects and leadership’s understanding of developments in real time

What you bring:

  • 3+ years in data-driven marketing and/or data analysis
  • Comfort with using data to guide clear strategic recommendations; Ability to communicate key insights and explain the “why” behind a recommendation
  • Strong proficiency with Google Analytics (GA4); working knowledge of Google Tag Manager a plus
  • Ability to interpret and visualize data via Excel and PPT; experience with Tableau preferred
  • Ability to act in a technical role while being able to communicate complex concepts empathetically and effectively to both technical and non-technical internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrable knowledge of analytics platforms, testing tools, and other BI tools
  • Proven track record of driving analytical insights into tangible results
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time prioritization skills
  • A strong foundational understanding of digital and traditional media
  • A self-starter with the ability to work effectively under minimal direction
