BI Developer

One of our clients, a company focused on the exploration, exploitation, development, acquisition, and production of natural gas and crude oil, is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer who can work both independently and collaboratively to design and develop robust BI solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and automation skills, with the ability to create scalable workflows and dashboards across multiple platforms. They will partner with business users, data teams, and technology stakeholders to resolve issues, optimize data quality, and drive a data-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance BI solutions that support business decision-making, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
• Create and optimize data pipelines to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability for dashboards and visualizations.
• Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues and optimize analytics performance with minimal oversight.
• Conduct design reviews and contribute to requirement discussions to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Perform thorough testing and validation of data transformations, calculations, and visualizations.
• Develop and implement SQL and Python-based solutions for data processing, automation, and analysis.
• Collaborate with teams across Data, Location Intelligence, and Machine Learning to enhance BI capabilities.
• Support self-service data discovery, analytics, automation, and data science initiatives through training and documentation.
• Ensure data security and compliance by recognizing and handling sensitive data appropriately.
• Participate in Agile/Sprint development cycles, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
• Continuously explore new BI technologies and contribute to process improvements

Requirements

• Minimun experience of 4 years as a BI Developer or similar roles.
• Technical Expertise: Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Alteryx, Power BI, Spotfire, Power Automate, and Power Automate Desktop.
• Problem-Solving & Innovation: Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changes, and introduce innovative solutions.
• Data Security Awareness: Understanding of data privacy best practices and secure BI solution development.
• Communication & Collaboration: Ability to effectively communicate findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Continuous Learning: Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance technical skills and stay updated with industry trends
• Strong English Skills (B2 or higher)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
