Contract Manager

Job Description

In late January, we announced that Bridgefield Capital signed an agreement to acquire Philips’ Emergency Care business which includes leading brands and products like HeartStart AEDs, Intrepid and DFM100 monitor defibrillators, Tempus monitor and Tempus ALS systems, and Corsium and ECI informatics solutions. We expect the transaction to close at the end of 2025.

With Bridgefield’s support and building on our 40+ year legacy of growth and innovation in emergency medical technology, the Emergency Care business will continue passionately pursuing our mission of saving lives, lowering the cost of healthcare, and advancing the science of resuscitation while serving the public access AED, EMS, military, and hospital market segments.

In this role and as part of an agile company that has the dedicated resources needed to achieve its strategic goals, you’ll have every opportunity to become a part of the “NewCo” we are forming and grow both personally and professionally and potentially make an even bigger impact on the acute care space – as well as on the consumers, patients and healthcare workers who depend on these innovative life-saving solutions.

As an individual contributor, you will leverage your experience in the evaluation, development, and negotiation of commercial transactions, contracts, proposals, and quotes while ensuring compliance with current policies and procedures and minimizing contractual risk.

Your role:

  • Act as a trusted advisor partnering with stakeholders to create contract solutions to minimize risk, provide value to Philips and our customers, while working with field personnel and internal departments to evaluate and negotiate contracts for sales/service (i.e., capital, consumables, Software as a Service (SaaS), service, consulting, etc.) as well as other related documents.

  • Provide support to the customer fulfillment and proposal team for Request for Proposal’s (RFPs), Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotes (RFQs), while recommending and implementing improvements of policies and process that will ensure that proposals and contractual documents are aligned with company's business controls, policies, and procedures.

  • Advising field teams and management of contractual rights, obligations, providing interpretation of terms and conditions identifying solutions, as well as completing other projects as assigned such as continuous process improvement and working with stakeholders to review and update templates and tools.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts (or a combination of experience and education).

  • Your skills include proficiency in MS Office (Excel skills are required); Saleforce.com (SFDC), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools (preferred, with the ability to learn quickly).  Additional skills in Lean methodology. Project management with solid analytical and negotiation skills required.

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree (required), with a Paralegal, Certified Contract Management (CCM) [or other contract management certification], or J.D. (desired).

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

  • You’re an excellent communicator at many levels (articulate, empathetic, motivating and energizing); a well-organized multi-tasker, skilled at working in a team with tight deadlines, establishing priorities, gaining cooperation through persuasion to find solutions, and building consensus across functional areas, while managing various projects and setting priorities to achieve outcomes. Must be open to potential travel to the New Co HQ in Bothell, WA, if and/or when requested.
