Bonterra is looking to hire a Foundations Account Executive to sell our signature fundraising capacity building program, Jumpstart. We sell to foundations of all types and sizes including private, community, family, and corporate, with a focus on going up the market. Our sales motion is B2B2B - foundations partner with Bonterra to provide Jumpstart (1:1 coaching, technology & tech assistance, and peer learning workshops) to their grantee partners and nonprofits. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of managing new logo customers who are investing in Jumpstart. You will report to the Manager of Foundation Sales.

RESPONSIBILTIES

New Logos

  • You will actively prospect and outreach in your territory to identify ICP resulting in discovery calls booked.

  • You will lead all aspects of discovery calls and demos and ensure effective and timely follow-ups to convert opportunities.

  • You will be hyper focused on establishing next steps and moving deals forward in the pipeline.  

  • You will collaborate with the Foundations Team and across departments to help drive deals closing (i.e., invite leadership member on critical calls/big logos, lean on Solutions Architects to help with demos for large groups or big deals, invite program management lead, etc.)

  • You will partner closely with the Community Manager who leads nonprofit recruitment – including hosting info sessions and sending follow-ups to nonprofits.

  • You will handle proposals development, contract negotiations, sending quotes and working with deal desk to deploy DocuSigns.

  • You are comfortable traveling a few times a year for in-person customer meetings and conferences/events.

EXPERIENCES

  • 5+ years' experience as an enterprise seller in a B2B SAAS sales environment with consistent quota achievement, and/or a combination of direct fundraising/partnership & business development experience.

  • You have sold platforms in the tech for the good sector interacting with foundations and can develop trusting relationships.

  • Consistency in meeting or exceeding pipeline generation targets and quota in a changing environment.

  • Candidates with a wide philanthropic network are strongly preferred.

  • BDR experience is highly valued.

SKILLS

  • You have strong relationship building skills and can quickly build rapport with high-level clients

  • You understand how to speak credibly to a customer’s value proposition, overcome objections, and “wow” the customer in your understanding of the pain/problems/ challenges they face.

  • You bring both a structured and creative approach to pipeline generation, emphasizing a regular cadence, personalization and innovation in breaking into hard-to-reach accounts.

  • You possess excellent communications skills: public speaking, presenting, and written

  • You can prioritize effective and timely follow-ups with clear next steps.

  • You are assertive and strong closer.

Compensation

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.

US Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000. This role is eligible for monthly commissions.
