The Position:

We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to help develop our data pipeline frameworks, improve our modern data platform, and support the teams that rely on it. You'll work with experienced engineers to design, implement, and optimize data solutions that underpin analytics. You will report to the Data Engineering Manager and work with data producers and consumers across the company to deliver high-quality data in a reliable and scalable manner.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines to support analytics needs across the organization, with a focus on dynamic and generalized solutions.

  • Improve the performance, observability, and reliability of existing data systems including our orchestrator and our custom ETL service.

  • Collaborate with other teams to understand data needs and implement solutions that improve efficiency.

  • Ensure system security and data privacy compliance.

  • Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development as a data or backend engineer.

  • You have a strong software engineering foundation and follow best practices in coding, design, and testing.

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for processing data.

  • Experience with some of the following technologies (or similar tools): Airflow, Docker, Kafka, AWS, Terraform, Snowflake, or Git version control / GHA cicd.

  • Stay informed about relevant technology trends and developments and contribute to technical design discussions.

  • Enjoy working with others and collaborating to solve problems efficiently.

The target salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $160,000. This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.
