Essential Functions:

Works with data owners and data stewards to identify, define, and document metadata attributes for critical data elements
Captures data transformation requirements, quality rules, and source system details for entry into a metadata repository
Designs and implements data quality issue reporting, triage, and resolution workflows
Ensures the timely and effective communication of issues to data stewards, aids in root-cause analysis, and implements process improvements solve problems
Collaborates with Information Technology teams to capture the technical metadata and establish data lineage
Develops and maintains artifacts and reports that support the visualization of data flows within the organization

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, economics, finance or related business field or equivalent relevant experience
Two years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or insurance analytics
Experience implementing Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Business Glossary solutions preferred
Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of metadata management concepts and processes
Strong analytical, investigation and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and operating models preferred
SQL extraction skills preferred
Knowledge of database and data modeling concepts preferred
