OneSpan is seeking a Manager, Strategic Finance to join the organization’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, reporting to the Vice President, FP&A. This highly visible role will lead a variety of strategic initiatives within the Finance Department including the development and ongoing maintenance of financial models and reports to provide forward-looking scenario analyses and decision support to the Finance and Executive teams. The ideal candidate will display high business acumen and analytical thinking, demonstrate proficiency with detailed financial models and data management, and be able to work effectively across the organization including executive level communication and presentation skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of ACV and Bookings, including trend analysis, variance explanations, and performance metrics to monitor overall business performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive accurate revenue forecasts that align with overall company guardrails.
  • Review sales and sales trends to provide recommendations to management.
  • Update the corporate revenue model based on input collected from the GTM teams including forecasts for ACV, Renewal Rates, Hardware units and Professional Services.
  • Develop methods and strategies for assessing large amounts of data from various systems.
  • Continuously refine and improve FP&A processes related to ARR, ACV, Bookings and Revenue analyses and forecasting through the development and enhancement of dashboards and processes used to report on key financial and operational metrics.
  • Assist FP&A team in completing the monthly and quarterly financial reporting packets for the M-Team, Board of Directors, and Investors.
  • Participate in annual planning process including bookings and revenue planning.
  • Support the Finance team on special projects, ad-hoc analyses and requests as needed.
  • Continue to drive process improvement and scalability by developing repeatable business, operational and financial processes widely understood by all key stakeholders.
  • Build expertise to deeply understand the company’s product offerings, product portfolio and associated nuances.
  • Innovate on metrics that add insight, bringing best practices from across and outside the organization.

Requirements

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field. Advanced degree or certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of finance experience, experience with SAAS preferred.
  • Exceptional business judgement and intuition, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities, creativity, and critical thinking skills to tackle novel and complex challenges across the business.
  • Strong understanding of SAAS metrics including but not limited to ARR, CAC, ACV, LTV.
  • Experience with Workday/Adaptive or other Enterprise Planning Platform.
  • Expert-level Excel experience required.
  • Knowledge of Tableau a plus, or other data visualization tools.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and construct a story to gain senior leadership support.
  • Detail oriented & thorough, with ability to think “big picture” and understand the key trends and levers that drive the business.
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive to see a process through to completion.
  • Discretion, judgment, tact, and poise in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal/presentation).
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities and reprioritize as necessary to align with current business objectives.
  • Limited travel may occasionally be required.
